Vasco da Gama striker Alecsandro believes Saturday’s Braisleirão opponents Fluminense will play for a draw.
Vasco currently lie in third place in Brazil’s top division, three points behind their local rivals Flu, who occupy second posistion.
”Fluminense will play for the draw. That is clear and we have to realise that,” Alecsandro told Globo Esporte. ”Of course they will say that Fluminense always play to win, but the draw will favour them more than us.
”For Vasco, a draw would be disappointing and a defeat would be hard to take. It’s going to be a special match and I hope it ends with us getting the victory so we can get a bit of positive news.”
