Luis Fabiano ruled out of São Paulo's Copa Sudamericana clash with Bahia
São Paulo forward Luis Fabiano has been ruled out of tonight’s Copa Sudamericana second round return leg against Bahia.
The former Sevilla striker picked up a thigh strain when the two sides met in the opening leg in Bahia at the beginning of the month.
Despite Fabiano having already recovered from his injury, São Paulo coach Ney Franco does not want to risk the 31-year-old as he wants him fully fit for Sunday’s Paulista derby against Corinthians, according to Globo Esporte.
São Paulo have a two-goal advantage over Bahia thanks to goals from Rogerio Ceni and Ademilson in the first leg.
