Inter Milan defender Juan Jesus is determined to prove his worth at the club, and is hoping to one day become as good as Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Thiago Silva.

The 21-year-old, who partnered Silva in defence in all of Brazil"s fixtures at the Olympic Games in London, joined the Nerazzuri from Internacional in January.

Juan, though, has so far only made one appearance for Inter, but the young centre-back is keen to impress at the San Siro in the upcoming season.

"Am I the new Thiago Silva? I hope so, but I need to work harder," Juan told the club"s official website.

"He"s brilliant, I hope I can become as good as him.

"This is a great team and I hope to become a great player for this club, like [Javier] Zanetti and [Esteban] Cambiasso. I"d like to stay here.

"I"m prepared to do whatever the coach wants. I definitely prefer to play at centre-back but I"m available wherever."
