Oscar makes Chelsea debut in comfortable win

Chelsea opened their 2012-13 Premier League season with a 2-0 away victory over Wigan, a game that marked the debuts of new Blues stars Eden Hazard and Oscar.
With the Belgian having completed a full pre-season campaign at Stamford Bridge, it was he who was chosen to start, with Oscar entering the pitch in his place after 64 minutes.
Having come off the bench with the game in the bag, it didn't take the former Internacional midfielder long to show his new fans what they can expect in the years to come.
Playing in a second-striker role off centre-forward Fernando Torres, Oscar showed his quality with a series of neat touches and interplay that was given rapturous applause by the away fans.
Post-match, both English and Brazilian media were full of praise for the Seleção midfielder who has quickly taken his first steps to disproving those who doubted his ability to adapt to the Premier League.
Next up for Chelsea and Oscar will be Reading at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, with the midfielder potentially set to make his first start for the Blues.
