Ronaldinho expects ''strong'' PSG to challenge for silverware

Atlético Mineiro playmaker Ronaldinho believes his former club Paris Saint-Germain will win trophies in the near future.

The French club have invested heavily in their squad in recent months, having signed a number of high-profile players such as Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a combined total of €65 million from AC Milan.

''They look strong. They have great players, some of whom are friends, such as Thiago and Zlatan both of whom I played with at AC Milan,'' Ronaldinho told L'Equipe.

''I'm delighted for PSG and I hope they will be rewarded soon with lots of silverware.''

PSG have never won the Champions League before, and the last time they won the Ligue 1 title was back in 1994.
