Southampton secured another friendly win on Saturday with victory over Wolves, who found themselves relegated from the Premier League last season.
The Saints were on-top all game and finished with a 2-0 win, with goals from forwards Billy Sharp and Jason Puncheon.
The Brazilian Guly do Prado, who played 75 minutes of the encounter, was delighted with victory.
“It was a high intensity game, with several chances created and good possession of the ball against an important team who have just gone down,” Guly said post-match.
“It was important that we scored twice and kept a clean-sheet, this gives the team confidence ahead of the season opener with Manchester City.
“Now, we have two more important games that will only serve to give us more confidence.”
