Conca: I will return to Fluminense, but only when my contract ends

Argentine midfielder Darío Conca has looked to clear-up misunderstandings over his future, confirming his intention to return to Fluminense - but only at the end of his contract.
Conca, 29, had been thought to be close to returning to Brazil this summer, but despite admitting to wanting to leave, the Evergrande midfielder insists he has changed his mind and could even decide to stay longer than his current contract.
"I plan to return to Fluminense after the current contract ends," Conca told China Daily newspaper. "I have told my friends about that and I have promised my wife to go back to Brazil.
"But God may have other plans for me. My son was just born in Guangzhou and I have played only one year here."
Conca, who plays alongside Brazilians Cléo, Muriqui and Paulão in China, as well as Paraguayan Lucas Barrios, also thanked the fans for their support and made them a personal promise to see out his contract.
"I am very thankful for the fans’ support," Conca said. “Yes, (I had some second thoughts) the last two weeks. But now I will fulfill the contract and promise to stay with the club."
