Sao Paulo sporting director Adalberto Baptista has denied that the club have received any interest from Manchester City in attacking midfielder Lucas Moura.

Lucas, 19, has been a major target for rivals Manchester United in recent weeks, with the Red Devils seeing two bids rejected for the Sao Paulo youngster.

With United and Inter Milan seemingly weighing up their options, there had been talk of an offer for the youngster from City. Baptista, though, has rejected those claims.

The official told Calcio Mercato: “Interest from Manchester City? We are not aware of it and we have not had contact with them.”

Meanwhile. Baptista also denied talk of a €25 million offer from Inter Milan, saying: “An offer of €25million for Lucas from Inter Milan?

“We have not received written offers from Inter and that figure should not be enough, since we have already refused an official offer of €32million for our player.”
