Felipe Melo on the verge of joining Galatasaray - report

Juventus midfielder Felipe Melo is reportedly close to joining Galatasaray on a permanent deal.

The 29-year-old impressed on loan at the Turkish giants last season after failing to make an impact in his first two years at Juve following a €18.5 million switch from Fiorentina.

Galatasaray have openly admitted that they are keen on signing Melo on a permanent basis but a deal appeared to have fallen through two weeks ago when the player's agent revealed that the Istanbul club failed to agree terms with Juventus over a fee.

However, according to Goal.com, Galatasaray have now re-opened negotiations with the Scudetto holders, who want around €8 million for the midfielder.

It is said that a Gala are hoping to capture Melo's signature by the end of the week.
