Chelsea ace Ramires 'delighted' with Brazil recall

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has expressed his delight at being recalled to the Brazil squad for their friendly against Sweden in a fortnights time.

The 25-year-old has not been involved with the Seleção since they were defeated 3-2 by Germany in a friendly last August.

However, after inspiring Chelsea to Champions League glory last season, Ramires has been handed the opportunity to prove his worth in the Brazil squad again by coach Mano Menezes.

''I'm very happy to be back in the national squad - it feels like the first time all over again after such a long period out of it,'' the midfielder told Chelsea's official website.

''Every time a squad was announced I would be waiting hopefully, and now, when I didn't really expect it, I'm back. I'm delighted to be involved again and I hope to be able to remain there for a long time.''
