Santos president: Neymar leaving before 2014 is impossible

Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro insists the club will not sell Neymar before his contract expires in July of 2014.
Reports have long suggested that the 20-year-old will join Barcelona after the 2014 World Cup but the Spanish club's vice-president Josep Maria Bartoumeu recently admitted that the Catalan giants would like to sign the talented forward after the Olympic Games.
However, Ribeiro states that Barca president Sandro Rossell knows full well that the Liga outfit would be wasting their time trying to sign Neymar this summer.
''Neymar is a phenomenon and I'm sure that given his performances at the Olympics, this year he will be ranked among the top three players in the world - and we will not be selling him,'' the Santos chief told Mundo Deportivo.
''Sandro Rosell is a very intelligent man and has enough information available to him to avoid wasting time trying to talk with Neymar [about moving] now.
"Neymar leaving before 2014 is impossible.''
