Pepe in the dark over Kaká's future

Real Madrid defender Pepe has stated that he does not know whether Kaká will remain at the club beyond the summer.

The Brazil international has struggled to make an impact the Santiago Bernabeu, with injuries hindering his spell with the La Liga champions.

AC Milan are keen on bringing Kaká back to the San Siro on one-year loan deal, but recent reports in Spain have suggested that Madrid are holding out for a permanent transfer.

When Pepe was quizzed about Kaká's situation, he said: ''He is a great team-mate and I am happy to share the dressing room, but he is the one to know what his future looks like.

''Today, he is with us and we have to cherish him."
