Tulio de Melo scores as Lille defeat Athletic

Tulio de Melo's Lille side beat Athletic Bilbao on Friday afternoon, in a friendly played at the André Darrigade stadium.
The Brazilian played for the whole 90 minutes and scored the French side's third goal, having gone close with three opportunities in the first-half.
Lille opened the scoring in the first-half through Basa and doubled their advantage on the hour-mark through the recently signed Saloman Kalou. Athletic pulled a goal back within five minutes, but Túlio then grabbed his first goal of pre-season to complete the scoring.
"We finished pre-season on the right-foot," the Brazilian said post-match. "We played against a quality team that was physically better than us, because they start official games next week.
"Even so, we came to impose our style of play, with a lot of possession and we were clinical in our finishing. I am happy to have scored and to have contributed to this victory."
Lille return to the pitch on August 4, against Rennes, in their final warm-up game before the start of Ligue 1 against Saint Étienne on August 11.
