Manchester United full-back Rafael: 'The result is what matters'
Manchester United full-back Rafael da Silva has acknowledged that Brazil were slow out the blocks in their 3-1 victory over Belarus, but was glad to assure qualification to the quarter-finals.
Rafael, 21, has been first choice for Brazil throughout the campaign so far and put in another good performance against the North-East Europeans, persistantly finding space on the wing.
"The pitch was a little heavy and therefore we took a while get into the game," Rafael told reporters. "But we were very calm, very patient and the result is all that matters."
The full-back is looking to make a big impression this season, with twin brother Fábio having been loaned to Queens Park Rangers as he looks to continue his development.
The 2012-13 campaign has started well, though, with Rafael one of the more impressive performers as Brazil's Olympic Squad continues its campaign for a gold medal.
