Coritiba leaped up to twelfth in the Campeonato Brasileiro after beating Grêmio 2-1 in Paraná.

Ayrton's 60th minute free-kick gave the home side the lead only for André Lima to level the score three minutes later.

With less than sixty seconds left on the clock former Flamengo loanee Leonardo smashed home the winner much to the delight of the Coritiba fans.

Internacional 0-0 Vasco

Diego Forlan's first game for Internacional ended in a goalless draw against Vasco in Porto Alegre.

The result means Inter remain in fifth position, while the Cruz de Malta stay in second, one point behind leaders Atlético Mineiro, who play against Fluminense at the Engenhão on Sunday.

Botafogo 1-0 Figueirense

Botafogo jumped up to sixth in the table after beating basement boys Figueirense 1-0 at the Engenhão.

Andrezinho was once again the hero for the Rio de Janeiro side, scoring the only goal of the game just before the hour mark.
