Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes has revealed that he wants to return to Brazil once his contract expires at White Hart Lane.
The 31-year-old lost his starting berth in the Spurs first-team last season, with the club’s former manager Harry Redknapp opting to play Brad Friedel between the posts instead.
''I have two more years under contract at Spurs and I intend to fulfil them. But I'm tired of Europe, I have reached my limit here," Gomes told reporters.
''I'm 31-years-old and I'm thinking about moving back to Brazil. Atletico Mineiro wanted me, but Tottenham asked them to pay a fortune of £8 million for me and the negotiation finished.''
