Atletico Mineiro reclaimed their place at the top of the Campeonato Brasileiro after beating Santos 2-0 in Minas Gerias.

The Galo took then lead on the stroke of half-time through Danilinho's volley before Réver put the game to bed in the 65th minute.

Flamengo 0-0 Portuguesa

Dorival Junior's first game in charge of Flamengo ended in a disappointing goalless draw against Portuguesa at the Engenhão.

The results means the Rubro-Negro climb one place up the table to tenth, while the Lusa remain in seventeenth position.

Palmeiras 0-2 Bahia

Bahia lifted themselves off the bottom of the table after defeating Copa do Brasil champions Palmeiras 2-0 at the Arena Barueri.

Souza scored both of the Tricolor de Aço's goals, the first coming from the penalty spot in the 68th minute, and the second coming nine minutes from time.
