Neymar, 20, is the star name of Brazil's side, but despite a goal and a couple of other good efforts, faced criticism also over his decision not to pass on a couple of occasions.
The South American giants escaped with a win, but Neymar accepts they must learn from their mistakes if they are to succeed in their gold medal dream.
Neymar told reporters post-match: "We got a few things wrong and their team improved because of it. We must pay attention to details in the next match to make sure it doesn't happen again.
"We all want more. We know we can improve and we will work for that. Now it's the good part [of the tournament]: playing and resting. The preparation and training have already taken place. The tournament will pass quickly."
