Dani Alves in Vilanova's plans
Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has assured Dani Alves that he is part of his plans for the upcoming season.
The 29-year-old right-back recently admitted that he was upset with the Catalan club's failure to deny reports linking him with a Premier League champions Manchester City and Russian giants Anzhi Makhachkala.
However, speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Vilanova insisted that he was unaware of the Brazil international's disappointment.
''If I had known Dani Alves felt upset, I would have gotten in touch with him to assure him about his future at the club. Next time I will definitely do so,'' the 42-year-old trainer said.
''There have never been any doubts about his future, not by me and not by the club. He is the best right-back in the world in my opinion.''
