Coutinho hoping Inter beat Manchester United in the race to sign ''phenomenon'' Lucas Moura

Philippe Coutinho has admitted that he is hoping Lucas Moura will join him at Inter Milan.

Inter president Massimo Moratti recently confirmed that his club are still very much interested in signing Lucas, but the Italian giants appear to be in a bidding war with Manchester United for the São Paulo midfielder.

Coutinho, however, is desperate to see his compatriot opt for a move to the San Siro.

''He's a fantastic player, a phenomenon,'' the 20-year-old told Tuttosport. ''Should he come, he would help us a lot and I hope he arrives.''
