In the course of the next 24 hours, Vasco are set to announce the sales of influential first-team players Fágner and Diego Souza.
Right-back Fágner, 23, will join Bundesliga side Wolfsburg as he begins his second adventure in Europe, whilst Diego Souza will join AFC Champions League challengers Al-Ittihad.
The moves have not gone down well with fans of the Maltese Cross who are disappointed with the club’s lack of ambition, despite Vasco’s financial troubles.
In June, the club agreed the €8 million sale of Brazil international Rômulo to Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow.
