Nilmar is set to ply his trade in Qatar, as Villarreal have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to release the forward to Al Rayyan.
The Brazil international had previously been linked with a move to Barcelona and his former club Internacional, following the Yellow Submarines relegation to the top flight in Spain.
Al Rayyan announced last Thursday that they had reached an agreement with the 28-year-old, and now Villarreal have come out to confirm the transfer. A club statement read:
”Villarreal and Al Rayyan have come to an agreement for the transfer of Brazilian striker Nilmar Honorato da Silva, who will play the next season in the Arab club.”
