Fluminense chief executive Rodrigo Caetano has revealed that Santos are interested in signing Rafael Moura.

The 29-year-old, who’s nickname is He-Man, has struggled to hold down a first-team place at Flu this season, with the club’s coach Abel Braga often preferring to play either Rafael Sobis or Wellington Nem alongside Fred upfront.

Caetano told reporters on Tuesday evening that Santos have enquired about the possibility of doing a deal with Fluminense for Rafael Moura, but insisted that negotiations between the two clubs have yet to commence.

”There was a discussion with Santos, yes, but we’ve not began negotiations,” Caetano said.

Rafael Moura’s contract with Fluminense expires at in December 2014.
