Brazil international centre-back Juan is set to complete a move to Internacional, having been released by Roma in order to facilitate a move.
Juan, 33, is now set to sign a two-year deal with the Porto Alegre outfit, having not played in Brazil since leaving Flamengo in 2002.
“I heard nothing about the possibility of signing for Flamengo,” Juan told reporters. “When I came to an agreement with Internacional, Flamengo contacted me, but it was too late. I had already given my word.”
Juan becomes Internacional’s second major summer signing, following the capture of Diego Forlán from Inter Milan last week.
