Nilmar on the verge of joining Al Rayyan

Villarreal forward Nilmar is close to joining Qatari side Al Rayyan.

The 27-year-old has recently been linked with a host of clubs around the world, including the likes of Barcelona and his former employers Internacional, following theYellow Submarines relegation from the top flight in Spain.

However, Al Rayyan released a statement on their official website on Thursday which read: ''Nilmar [is set] to complete the negotiations attached to the club Al Rayyan.''
