Thiago Silva – I never thought about joining PSG

Brazil captain Thiago Silva insists that he never thought about leaving AC Milan for Paris Saint-Germain.
The 27-year-old looked set to move to the Parc des Princes last month after Rossoneri president Silvio Berlusconi admitted that the Italian club could not afford to turn down PSG's €46 million offer for the defender.
However, the former Italian prime minister eventually made a dramatic U-turn by opting against the deal and Silva, who subsequently extended his contract with Milan until 2017, is happy that his proposed move to the French side fell through.
''To be honest, I never thought about leaving Milan,'' the centre-back told reporters at a press conference in Rio de Janeiro on Friday.
''In all the interviews I gave I said I wanted to stay and continue my career at Milan. But because I had done well, other clubs opened their eyes and it was only normal that an offer arrived. But I'm glad I stayed.''
