Júlio Baptista undergoes Achilles operation

Malaga have announced that Júlio Baptista will be sidelined for atleast four months after undergoing surgery on his Achilles tendon problem.

The 30-year-old forward, who missed the majority of last season because of the injury, was operated on in the Quirón hospital in Barcelona on Tuesday afternoon.

Malaga released a statement on their official website on Tuesday stating that Baptista will remain under observation in hospital for the next 48 hours, and is instructed to keep the injured area immobilized for at least two weeks.
