Tottenham target Leandro Damião will not join Inter Milan

Internacional president Giovanni Luigi insists Leandro Damião will not be joining Inter Milan this summer.

The 22-year-old has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain over the past 12 months, but recent reports have suggested that Serie A outfit Inter are in pole position to secure the Brazil international's services.

However, with Damião under contract at the Beira-Rio until July 2016, Luigi believes the Italian club have no chance of luring the forward to the San Siro any time soon.

''I can assure you that there is no chance [that Damião will join Inter],'' he told Rádio Gaúcha.

''As far as we know, there is nobody from Inter in Porto Alegre.

''There is absolutely nothing to talk about on this subject.''
