Fluminense midfielder Wagner believes Diego Cavalieri played a key role the Tricolor"s 2-0 victory against Náutico at the weekend.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper has been in impressive form this campaign having initially struggled to play regular first team football in his debut season at Flu in 2011.

Cavalieri kept out a host of chances against Náutico on Saturday, and despite Samuel netting both goals in Fluminense"s win, Wagner believes the former Liverpool shot-stopper was the difference between the two sides.

"They [Náutico] had many chances to score but we were more efficient, and besides that, we had Cavalieri who was in inspired form," the Tricolor midfielder told Globo Esporte. "He played really well and he helped us get the win."
