Lazio sign Ederson from Lyon

Lazio have announced the signing of midfielder Ederson on a free transfer from Olympique Lyonnais.

The 26-year-old has opted to carry on his career in Italy after his contract with the Ligue 1 side expired last month.

The Biancocelesti had long been linked with a move for the creative midfielder and after lengthy negations they have now managed to acquire his services until June 2017.

A statement on their official club website read: ''SS Lazio announces that it has reached an agreement with the player Ederson Honorato Campos for the next five seasons.''

Ederson started his professional career with Interrnacional and also represented Juventude and Nice before joining Lyon in 2008. He went on to make over 100 first-team appearances for the French side, scoring eleven goals in the process.
