Roma fail to agree a new deal with Fluminense for Marquinho

Marquinho's time at Roma could be set to come to an end, as the Italian club have reportedly failed to agree a new deal with Fluminense for the midfielder's services.
The 25-year-old arrived at the Olimpico on an initial six-month loan contract in January with an agreed upon fee of €4.5 million in place for the Giallorossi to make the deal permanent by June 26.
However, according to Tuttomercato, Roma no longer have the financial resources to pay the fee that was originally agreed between the two clubs.
The Italian site claims that Roma had approached Fluminense with a new €2.8 million bid for Marquinho, but the Brazilian outfit rejected the Serie A side's offer.
It is believed that Roma's arch-rivals Lazio are interested in signing the versatile midfielder.
