Cruzeiro eyeing Martinuccio

Fluminense chief executive Rodrigo Caetano has revealed that Cruzeiro are interested in signing Alejandro Martinuccio.

The 24-year-old was sent out on loan to Villarreal last season after failing to establish himself as a first team regular at Laranjeiras.

It is believed that Martinuccio is not part Fluminense coach Abel Braga's plans, but according to Caetano, Cruzeiro have inquired about the Argentine forward's availability.

''There is interest from Cruzeiro, but we've received nothing official yet,'' the Tricolor director told Lancenet.
