New Bayern Munich defender Dante has expressed his ambition to win as many titles as possible with the club, following a move from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Dante, 28, joins the club having only previously won a Belgian Pro League title with Standard Liege in 2007-8, but has proved himself to be one of the Bundesliga’s finest centre-backs with Gladbach.
“I have a contract until 2016 and would prefer to win the Bundesliga four times,” Dante told Kicker.
“I have no problem with pressure. In fact, I love it. I can promise one thing: I will work hard for my chance every day, and then the rest is up to the coach. I would also like to finish my career in Germany. My family feels very comfortable.”
The powerful defender hopes that his move to a giant of European football will aid his dream of playing for the Brazil national side, with many experts calling for his inclusion ahead of the World Cup.
Dante added: “Of course I hope I can play for the Seleção thanks to this move. That remains my dream, just like the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. I think playing for Bayern places me more in the focus.”
