Gattuso - Berlusconi has demonstrated by keeping Thiago Silva that he still loves Milan
Sion midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has lauded AC Milan's decision to turn down Paris Saint-Germain's bid for Thiago Silva.
The Rossoneri had seemed resigned to losing the centre-back after receiving a €46 million bid from PSG, but president Silvio Berlusconi announced on Thursday that the Brazil international will not be leaving the San Siro.
''Berlusconi has demonstrated by keeping Thiago Silva that he still loves Milan, regardless of the financial situation of the economic group that he owns,'' Gattuso told Radio Mana Mana.
''There are not many clubs who can reject an offer like this. Antonio Cassano was right about what he said: Thiago Silva is a very important player.
''Milan have few financial resources, the mistake about letting Andrea Pirlo leave has been made.
''It is undeniable, but Milan are paying the price for the crisis of the Berlusconi group.''
