Maldini – Selling Thiago Silva is a sign of great weakness from AC Milan

AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini has expressed his dissatisfaction over his former clubs apparent intention to sell Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazil captain is reportedly on the verge of sealing a switch to the Parc des Princes, with the Rossoneri's president Silvio Berlusconi admitting that his club could not afford to pass up on PSG's €46 million offer.
A number of AC Milan's players have already come out stating that they are against Thiago Silva’s sale, and Maldini is convinced the 27-year-old's departure would deal a heavy blow to his former employers.
''A player like Thiago Silva is impossible to replace,'' Maldini told La Gazzetta dello Sport.''Those who have trained with him are not surprised by his growth.
''He has good positioning, technique, speed and a great personality. He is the best defender in the world by a big margin.
''I think that the sale of such an important player is a sign of great weakness on the part of Milan.''
