Agent – Juninho will extend his contract with Vasco

The agent of Juninho Pernambucano has revealed that his client will extend his contract with Vasco this week.

The 37-year-old's current deal with the Rio de Janeiro-based club expires on the July 4, and reports have suggested that the midfielder could join his former employers Sport Recife.

However, Juninho's representative, Jose Fuentes, claims that the player will sign a six-month contract with Vasco in the next few days.

''Everything is set for Juninho to renew his contract with Vasco until the end of 2012,'' he told Super Radio Brasil. ''I believe sometime during this week, maybe even the end of the week - on Saturday - everything will be resolved.''
