Thiago Silva set to be fit for Argentina clash

Having left the field in agony during Brazil's 2-0 defeat to Mexico on Sunday, it looked doubtful that Thiago Silva would be fit to face Argentina next weekend. However, post-match, there was good news for the Milan star.
Thiago Silva, 27, left the pitch early in the second-half to be replaced by Bruno Uvini in what was a worrying moment for manager Mano Menezes ahead of the Olympic Games.
"My leg went and didn't get the ball. I felt a sharp pain and could not make passes, so I preferred to leave," he told reporters post-match.
"I have no concept of the gravity, but it hurts a lot. I am icing it, but I am still in great pain."
Later on, though, Brazil's team doctor Jose Luiz Runco gave a more upbeat assessment: "He took a knock to his right knee, but we do not think anything serious. We will evaluate during it during the week. There should be no problem for the game [against Argentina]."
