Thiago Silva happy to be back

Thiago Silva was delighted to make a successful return to action in Brazil's 3-1 win over Denmark on Saturday.

The 27-year-old had spent nine weeks on the sidelines after aggravating a thigh injury during the warm-up of AC Milan's Serie A clash against Roma on March 24.

''I personally am very happy because it is normally not easy to play a full match after two months, so it was a great joy,'' Thiago Silva told reporters after Brazil's victory in Hamburg.

''I take this opportunity to thank a person named Marcelo Costa, the physical therapist who has been helping me recover.''
