Manchester City preparing £40 million Thiago Silva offer

According to reports, Manchester City are preparing a £40 million + Carlos Tevez bid for AC Milan defender Thiago Silva.

Thiago Silva, 27, is widely regarded as one of, if not, the best centre-back in Europe and City have reportedly stepped-up the chase with a bid of such large value.

Barcelona are said to have had a £33 million bid rejected in the past, but the City bid, which includes Tevez, dwarves that proposal.

Goal.com broke the report, just days after Roberto Mancini met with AC Milan officials in Italy.
