Danilo hoping to play alongside Ganso at Porto

Danilo has urged former Santos team-mate Paulo Henrique Ganso to leave the Vila Belmiro and join him at Porto.

Porto had tried to sign the highly-rated Brazil international in January, but a move broke down as the Portuguese club failed to match Santos' valuation of the player

But Danilo, who left the Peixe in January, is still hopeful that he can play alongside Ganso at Porto.

''I am always in contact with Ganso and Neymar, who are friends of mine and players I really look up to,'' the 20-year-old right-back told O JOGO.

''I am rooting for Ganso to come to Porto, I have already talked to him about the club and the city, and I think he would really fit in our style of play.

''It was hard to leave Santos after the Club World Cup. I have found a great squad at Porto, but I will never find an atmosphere like I did at Santos. It was fantastic.''
