AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini has told his former club that they can forget about winning any trophies next season if they sell Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovich this summer.
Brazil's captain Thiago Silva has been linked with a host of European clubs over the past 12 months, whilst Ibrahimovic has reportedly attracted interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City.
''If you want to win something then you can't do without Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic,'' Maldini told Sky Sport Italia.
''If the objective is to balance the accounts and have a decent campaign, then you can sacrifice one of the two.''
Maldini spent his entire career at AC Milan, making his debut for the club at the age of 16.
