Ramires, 25, has inspired Chelsea to the Champions League final, as well as an FA Cup victory, but is not deemed suitable for the Brazilian national team.
Mano said: “Ramires is one of the most selected players for the national team. I need not say much about him because he is not playing in the same position as he would for the Selecão
“At Chelsea, he went through a transformation. With André Villas-Boas he was driving from midfield, but with the arrival of Di Matteo, he has played him wider. In that set-up, they shut-up shop, drop back and track their man.
“Ramires was played in another place, where Elano played the Copa America and the Paulista final, so I have not called him.”
Ramires has not been selected by Brazil since the Copa America, when Robinho, Elano and Andre Santos were also dispensed with.
