Agent – Forlan wants to join Atlético Mineiro

The Uruguay international only joined the Nerazzurri last summer, but the forward has struggled to make an impression at the San Siro, sparking rumours that he could leave Italy this summer.
Forlan tried to quash speculation on Tuesday, but agent Edgar Goulart, who is a close friend of the player's father and Atlético Mineiro's president Alexandre Kalil, claims that while the proposed transfer negotiations could prove to be difficult, both parties are eager to make it a done deal.
''Kalil came to me and expressed an interest in taking the player to Belo Horizonte,'' the Uruguayan agent told Lancenet.
''I went to Diego with this interest. He wants to play in Brazil. Therefore, there is a good chance that the negotiations will take place.
''A transaction is difficult, though, because he was the best player at World Cup 2010. There is the will of both parties to make it happen but it will not be easy.
''Certainly, as a player you want to live and play in the city. It's a great place to live and I have said that to Diego myself.''
Forlan has only found the back of the net twice in 18 appearances for Inter Milan this season.
