Corinthians are considering signing Pato

Corinthians are looking into the possibility of signing AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato, according to Globoesporte.

The Timão have reportedly been on the lookout for a new striker ever since they parted company with Adriano at the beginning of March, following the player's failure to show enough commitment to return to full fitness.

Pato has been plagued by muscular injuries this season, making just 18 competitive appearances for AC Milan since the start of the campaign.

Nevertheless that has not put off Corinthians, who could make a move for the 22-year-old in the upcoming summer transfer window.

''We are waiting for the end of the Serie A season to see,'' the club's football director, Edu Gaspar, told Globoesporte. ''He is a great player, but this is something that Milan must want, too.''
