Diego Forlan quashes Atlético Mineiro link

Inter Milan forward Diego Forlan has insisted that he is not in talks with Atlético Mineiro over a potential summer switch.

Reports in Brazil on Tuesday suggested that the Brazilian club informed Forlan's father that they were prepared to offer the Uruguay international a two-year contract worth €3 million per annum.

''It seems that they have spoken with my father, but there is nothing,'' Forlan told Globoesporte. ''There are no negotiations taking place."

Forlan has struggled in his first year at Inter Milan, but his agent recently stated that the striker is keen to play out his contact with the club which expires in 2013.
