Assis hits back at Flamengo over £1.6 million Ronaldinho debt

Assis believes that the club are deliberately misleading the public over the situation, with the actual debt much higher than the £725,000 that finance director Michel Levy admitted this morning.
"The agreement is there to be fulfilled," Assis, the player's agent, commented. " There are now four months of back wages amongst other things.
"The values are increasing. But when these stories come out about wages, it is always from the other side (the club). This creates unnecessary friction."
Although not stated on record, Brazilian media giant Globo estimates the debt at around £1.6 million, which Ronaldinho is entitled to take directly from the club's TV money, according to his brother.
