Anzhi ready to launch big-money bid for Barcelona star Dani Alves

Reports in Spain are suggesting that Anzhi Mahachkala are preparing to launch a big-money offer for Barcelona defender Dani Alves.

The 28-year-old right-back has established himself as a key member of Pep Guardiola's side since arriving from Sevilla in 2008, and his exceptional performances over the past few season's has seen him been linked with Premier League giants, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Alves is contracted to Barcelona until 2015, but according to Rádio Marca, mega-rich Anzhi, who are owned by billionaire businessman Suleyman Kerimov, are plotting an outrageous bid to lure the Brazil international to Russia.
