Willians, 26, has been at the club since 2009 and still has three years to run on his current deal, but he is rated by many as the best defensive midfielder in Brazil and is attracting attention.

Deputy director of football Paulo César Coutinho confirmed the offers, with the second believed to be from an unnamed Middle-Eastern side.

“We have two offers for Willians in-hand and we are looking at them, but the decision to accept or not rests with the player,” he confirmed to Globo Esporte.

Willians agent would not comment on the matter today, but with Flamengo owning just 35% of the player’s economic rights, the decision is out of their hands. His agent owns 10%, whilst former-club Santo Andre own at least 55% of the rights.
