Dinamite: Manchester United & Liverpool target Dedé will stay at Vasco

Vasco president Roberto Dinamite says he can guarantee that defender Dedé will not be leaving the club this year.

The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from São Januário this summer, with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Juventus and Benfica all believed to be showing interest in the centre-back.

"I can guarantee that Dedé will stay at Vasco," Dinamite told Lancenet.

"He has a big aim to play for Brazil and we will help him in whatever way we can to make sure he achieves it. He has a contract, and at no time has he said he wants to leave the club."

Dedé's contract with Vasco runs until December 2014.
