Gilberto Silva has targeted a comeback from injury in March.
The Brazilian international has not played for the Premiership champions since September due to a back problem.
There were fears that the 28-year-old would be sidelined for the rest of the season due to the complaint.
But Gilberto returned to training with The Gunners on Thursday and now has his sights on getting back onto the pitch.
“I hope to be playing again next month,” affirmed Gilberto.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has always been confident that he would have Gilberto at his disposal again before the season finished.
Wenger, though, was slightly more cautious about when the midfielder will return, with an April date on the Arsenal manager’s mind.
“Yes, I think Gilberto will play again before the end of the season,” said Wenger.
“He could be back in April.”
